踏入十月,又到一年一度的德國啤酒節(Oktoberfest)!為慶祝此年度盛事,The Salted Pig 於十月推出德國主題菜單,精選多款地道頭盤、主菜及甜點,佐以啤酒和德國佳釀,讓大家感受歡樂氣氛。就算未能親身到德國感受熱鬧氣氛,在香港亦能品嘗當地美食和啤酒,與朋友盡情狂歡!
菜單中多款菜式均以啤酒入饌,像頭盤「啤酒芝士湯」($98),先將西芹、蘿蔔和韭蔥等煮腍,再加入雞湯、德國 Erdinger 小麥啤酒、喼汁、芥末及少許格魯耶爾芝士等調味,入口夾雜芝士鹹香和啤酒麥香,味道充滿層次感。德國啤酒節常備小吃「煙三文魚薯仔班戟」($118),薯仔絲混入洋蔥、芥末籽醬和酸忌廉等煎成班戟,口感外脆內軟,配以煙三文魚、沙律菜和凱撒沙律醬汁等,更添清新開胃。
主菜方面,有德國傳統美食「霍爾斯坦酥炸豬柳」($198),以德國北部霍爾斯坦地道做法炮製,豬柳裹上麵包糠炸香,外脆肉嫩,頂層特別放以煎蛋和鯷魚,鹹香鮮味,品嘗時將蛋黃刺穿,豬柳蘸點蛋汁品嘗,口感非常豐富。另伴以燉紫椰菜、酸豆和歐芹薯仔,簡單美味。客人還可品嘗到極具代表性的「紐倫堡香腸圈」($499),兩米長的香腸捲成圈狀,混入多種香料製成,味道濃郁,肉質鮮嫩彈牙,另伴以烤洋蔥、酸椰菜、薯仔和三款芥末醬汁,配香腸品嘗開胃解膩。吃至尾聲,最適合以清新甜點作結,推介傳統的「蘋果肉桂卷」($58),香脆的酥皮下包入蘋果和葡萄乾,加上肉桂調味,入口夾雜濃厚肉桂香和果香,香甜不膩。
提到德國菜,當然不少得啤酒,餐廳精選了德國 Erdinger 小麥啤酒($68),有別於一般只以大麥釀造,啤酒另加入小麥作原料,口感份外清爽順滑,更富豐富果香。除啤酒外,還有來自德國 Pfalz 酒區 Die Weinmacher 酒莊的白葡萄酒 Kabinett Riesling,酒體輕盈,夾雜蘋果、柚子和芒果香,酸甜度平衡,清新易入口,非常適合女生口味。Kabinett Riesling 全日以歡樂時光價錢供應($55/杯),讓客人暢飲德國佳釀。

For our Pork By Region Tour, we’re marching into the month of October by celebrating Germany’s famous OKTOBERFEST. For over two hundred years, fun-loving Bavarians have proved there’s no better way to party than to pair pork with beer, so this year we’ve raised the beer barrel to the next level by creating beer-infused dishes!
To whet your appetite, we start off with a comforting bowl of wholesome German Erdinger Beer & Cheese Soup ($98), traditionally served in medieval times as a start to the day. Next up is our Kartoffelpuffer Mit Lachs ($118), a potato and onion pancake served with smoked salmon, garlic mayonnaise and mixed lettuce. Cheese lovers won’t be able to resist the Obazda ($118), rich Camembert spread on grilled sourdough bread and brown onions.
For our mains, try the Oktoberfest favourite – Pork Holstein Schnitzel ($198) – a classic German dish of thinly sliced pork, crumbed and cooked to a golden crisp, and served with fried egg, anchovies, capers, parsley potatoes and braised red cabbage. Chicken will never go out of style, and our Mustard Marinated Chicken ($198) marries mustard’s piquant tang and the malty fragrance of beer, accompanied by chewy-fried Spätzle, bacon strips, sprout leaves and mustard sauce.
Up for a challenge? Tackle our tasty Würst ($499), two meters of lean Nürnberger pork sausage made locally in Hong Kong by a German butcher, accompanied by grilled onions, sauerkraut and boiled potatoes, with a gorgeous selection of different mustards. At the Salted Pig, sharing is caring so our German Plank ($744) is the perfect family-feast, giving four guests an experience of the whole menu. Including Obazda, Kartoffelpuffer, Schnitzel, Nürnberger sausage, Bratwürst sausage and mustard chicken, with sides of braised red cabbage, fried Spätzle and boiled potatoes, it’ll make you and your friends clink your Bavarian beers in toast!
There’s always room for dessert, especially when it’s our irresistible Apfelstrüdel ($58), a traditional German delight of apples, cinnamon and raisins, together with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Or end the meal with our delectable Black Forest Mousse ($58), showcasing marinated cherries between silky smooth layers of chocolate sponge and shaved chocolate.
Wine aficionados can raise a glass for the festivities with Die Weinmacher, Pfalz, Kabinett Riesling, Germany ($55) at all day long happy hour prices, or guests can go the traditional route with a frosty pint of Erdinger Wheat Beer ($68),
